ART DISCOVERY: An Introduction to the World of Art
Through fun, hands-on activities, children will be introduced to the fundamentals of art. They will learn to express themselves through a variety of styles and art forms including drawing, painting, collage, clay sculpture and papier maché.

FUNDAMENTALS OF ART
With an emphasis on drawing and painting, students will learn about the elements of art: colour, texture, line, value and form, in order to create well-balanced compositions.

Maximum 5 students per class. All materials included.

SCULPTURAL RELIEF PAINTING WITH BINA

A 2-day workshop tailored to your skill level.
Beginner to advanced artists welcome!

DAY 1: DRAWING AND BUILDING SCULPTURAL RELIEF
Using a landscape photograph as reference you will create a simple line drawing on canvas board that will become the foundation on which you will layer natural elements such as millet, bark, cotton, burlap, textured papers, to create sculptural relief.

DAY 2: PAINTING AND FINISHING
After sufficient overnight drying time the second day will consist of painting with acrylics to complete the canvases. Finishing options will also be reviewed.

Workshop runs 10 am to 3 pm each day. Maximum 4 participants per workshop.

Materials Fee (optional): $20
Fees are due at time of registration. If you prefer to bring your own materials a list will be provided upon confirmation.
